Stamping

Our mission in the Stamping group is to encourage artistic creativity in our members by learning new techniques using rubber stamps, forming new friendships, and sharing ideas.

STAMPING SIG NEWS – JUNE 2013

Special Thanks to Laura Borckardt for sharing her creative talents with other stampers in the special project which she provided for Open Stamping in May. “My Sister’s Closet” was certainly enjoyed by all who attended.

Please check with  your instructor on any changes in the summer schedule for classes and special projects. Also keep up-to-date by reading the Stamping SIG web page regularly. News of what’s going on is just a click away. We’ll be sharing helpful crafting hints and new videos as well.

In preparation for Our June Inventory of all stamping materials available in the craft room cabinets, we request that everyone please check your tool kits and home crafting area for borrowed items and return them now. Stray stamps and messages need to be put back in their appropriate cases and cataloged. We appreciate and thank you for your cooperation.

Open Stamping will continue on the third Wednesday of the month from 1:00-3:00 PM in the craft room. Come join fellow stampers for creativity and conversation on June 19, July 17, & August 21. A teacher-monitor will be available and cabinets will be open for on-site use of club materials. Bring your tool kit and any independent projects. No reservations needed.

A package of Cards for Soldiers was mailed this spring and we’re looking for more of your generous donations to do another mailing in the fall. Please put cards in the designated small blue bin on the counter in the craft room. We get wonderful letters of thanks. It means so much to our troops.

Check out these wonderful card designs for kids. Lots of great samples.
